welcome to hope in the valley rda group

Training day and AGM on 1st September with first riding on 8th September .... enjoy the Summer holidays!

Hope in the Valley offers weekly riding lessons for physically disabled children. Based at Plumpton College in Sussex, we are located at the foot of the beautiful South Downs. Riding lessons are held in a full-size indoor arena, and in fine weather the children can enjoy a hack around the grounds of the College. As well as weekly term-time riding, all the riders also participate in horse-care classes.

As a group we participate in RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) grade exams, gymkhanas, rallies and annually compete in dressage at Hickstead. Hope in the Valley is staffed entirely by volunteers.

Most of the ponies are lent to the group by their owners. If you have a pony which may be suitable for RDA use, please contact us. We are always keen to recruit new equine members.

Hope in the Valley is funded entirely by donations and bequests.
