Deian competed in the SE Regional round of the Countryside Challenge competition today. He rode very well and received a score of 81.5% – sadly he didn’t qualify for the National Championships as he was placed 4th and you need to be in the top two to qualify. This was the only event that went ahead at Felbridge – all the other classes (except Fancy Dress) were cancelled as the fields were waterlogged after the incessant rain yesterday. This meant we only took Rose for Deian to ride and had to cancel the other riders.

The event seems to be jinxed – this is the 3rd year running that there has been either a cancellation or a reduced timetable. Maybe there will be changes next year!
