Spring Term 2019

Thankfully we recommenced riding on Wednesday 25th February after a half term break which started a week earlier for us because of equine flu. We have taken the equine flu outbreak seriously as the illness can have a severe impact on our horses and without them we would not be able to do what we all enjoy doing. All our ponies are inoculated thanks to the sponsorship of the vaccine provider and RDA National. However, as the news headlines have reported this is no guarantee against the illness. Understandably Plumpton College needed to protect its own horses against any unnecessary risks by isolating them from any potential carriers of the virus.

Huge congratulations to Margaret Fogg for her President’s award. This award is only given to volunteers who have shown exceptional service to RDA for at least 30 years. We are fortunate to have Margaret’s knowledge and experience in our group. Thank you Margaret.
